Hypothesis: a Theatre Lab is looking for lab technicians of all kinds to assist with our experiments. Please read the descriptions and fill out the form below to let us know how you would like to Step Into the Lab!
Readers
This is a great position for actors. Selected readers will be given a part to play in private and/or public readings of new works to provide the playwright an opportunity to hear their script aloud and receive feedback.
Auditors
This is a great position for playwrights, directors, and designers. Invited auditors will sit in on private readings of new works to provide the playwright feedback.
Facilitators
This is a great position for public speakers and entertainers. Facilitators will guide audience feedback sessions after public readings and full productions. They will ensure that the conversation keeps moving productively and is kept to the allotted time.
Front of House Crew
This is a great position for friendly customer services minded folks, who may not have a lot of experience in theatre, but just want to help out. Crew members will be responsible for things like checking in guests at the door, helping audience members find their seats, selling raffle tickets or merchandise, and other helpful things that usually take place in the lobby.
Video Technicians
This is a good position for tech savvy folks who know their way around a camera and laptop. Video techs will be in charge of recording and/or livestreaming public events, as well as relaying any online comments to the facilitator during audience feedback sessions.
